After an accident: what to do.
Drivers and passengers: here is the procedure, step by step. Stay calm, protect people first, vehicles second.
During a ride, the app's SOS button also alerts our team.
The procedure
Eight steps, in this order.
1
Secure the scene
Stop, switch on your hazard lights and set up the warning triangle. Get passengers out on the pavement side, away from traffic.
2
Check for injuries
Do not move an injured person unless there is immediate danger (fire, smoke). Talk to them, keep them warm, stay close.
3
Call emergency services
Police (117) for any accident with injuries, a dispute or a hit-and-run; fire brigade (118) for serious injuries, fire or someone trapped. Give the exact location and the number of injured.
4
Alert Taxi Mutuel
SOS button in the app, or “Report a problem” and choose the ride. Our team will call you back.
5
Take photos
Before the vehicles are moved, if it is safe to do so. The list of useful photos is just below.
6
Collect the details
The other driver's name and phone number, registration number, insurer and policy number. Witnesses' names and phone numbers.
7
Fill in the incident report
On the spot or as soon as possible, with a sketch of the accident. If another vehicle is involved, also fill in your insurer's accident report form. Do not sign anything you do not understand.
8
Send and declare
Send the report and photos to Taxi Mutuel within 24 hours. Report the accident to your insurer within the deadline set by your policy.
Photos to take
A good photo is worth a long statement.
Only photograph what is useful for the file. Never post these photos on social media: they show people, number plates and private documents.

Road, traffic lights and signs

Incident report
Print it and keep it in your vehicle.

Once completed, send a photo or scan of it: by email or by WhatsApp, within 24 hours.
